but he puts his heels down

that all the colors bleach out of everything
a wave of light ripples out from him
and the two brothers are not on planet earth anymore
in the human story
they’re back Home
or Here
or in Heaven
or whatever you’ll call it
where everything is honest and real
and you can’t pull the wool over your’s or anyone else’s eyes
and he looks into her eyes and says
NO, WE WILL NOT DO THIS ANYMORE
