it Is much easier to deal with my hair the shorter it gets
perhaps if I lived my life like that
made all my choices based upon the Easiest
my life would be as interesting as theirs

Short hair can be liberating and easier, while longer hair is sometimes associated as a source of power. You look handsome always and all ways.

I can tell that you are in “A New York state of mind”, as for the shorter hair, I use to cut my hair when I was depressed or disappointed in something/someone. My beard, if it was extreme! A form of self mutilation I suppose. But you look good with or without the long hair.
