i sent in 2000 negatives to ScanCafe
in going through selecting which ones to keep, i found this and couldn’t help it, gotta put it up (low rez is all i got now)
— summer solstice of ’98, i think. we were on mushrooms and acid in the desert outside of Tucson, AZ… at one point we decided to bathe in the dust of the desert.. rubbed in our hair til it was sparking in the dry night air… Ahhhh

I don’t necessarily think you should show it off more, because you’d have to get rid of the beard that you obviously like. I think it’s more important to be who you are. I was just struck at how great your face’s shape and structure was.

During my massive sort of all my stuff, I came across 10 rolls of film that I shot at least 10 years ago, some of Amsterdam, Berlin, etc.

How was your experience with ScanCafe? I’ve a great many old family photos — mostly slides, but some negatives — and I’ve been pondering using their service.
Mushrooms and acid? A de same time? Yike! (Me, I’ve never tried acid)

ScanCafe seems to be pretty good so far
i just finished going through the 1852 proofs
it’ll be a few weeks yet before i get my negatives back and the DVDs with the full rez files
so i’ll give you a better idea then
but i’m pretty happy with them so far.
and as for the drugs
there were five or six of us out there that night
some of us were on mushrooms
some on acid
none of us on both, i don’t think
AND we were all driving around the desert
and probably smoking too…
