  • We just saw it at Imax 3D. Enjoyed it immensely.

    • Goat would call it “Goat Porn”
      hmmmmm

      • Give him a hug for us, next time you see him?

        • of course!
it’s hard not to hug him whenever you first see him
he’s in love with an italian
          send him your blessings

  • the 3D is insane. I have not seen the flat version. It was… immensely disorienting to say the least. Seems like the movie was intended to be this way as there are arbitrary moments where coins are tossed or spears are pointed at the screen for sustained periods. I liked the writing of gaimen, the concept, and the malkovich, but what I didnt like was the ending. How they had to make it feel like a sequel was coming. And the fact that they spent the time to put in the hairs on our protagonists nose, but didnt give much facial thought to all the doll-like background characters..

  • I’ll be screening it again soon with a nephew. The film was released in 3 different 3D processes, I’ve seen all 3, and all are adequate. REAL D has the “deepest effect”, IMAX 3D, of course, has the most detail, but not as “deep”.
DOLBY 3D has such dark glasses, silvered and a slight cyan / magenta tint, that a great deal of light is lost. Look for REAL D, but any will do.
I have 3 blonde relatives, father Gurley, sister Beverly, and her child Will, a 19 year old nephew, who resembles the film’s young Beowulf. We’ll catch the IMAX at Opryland Sunday.

  • I want to see it, in 3-D!
All my friends went to see it while I was out in CA. 🙁
It’s also playing in 3-D on an IMAX screen up at the ‘plex near Lincoln Center. How big do you want it? 😉

how about tuesday or wednesday evening?

      • Re: huge

          Wednesday then!
7:45 at the IMAX is probably the best time

Jorge is usually done with work by 5:30

        • Woah! Tuesday instead.
i just remembered i’m seeing Kiki & Herb wednesday night!
So . Tuesday. 7:45 pm. be good?
          (oops.)

          • Woah!
Tuesday works for me. HOWEVER: According to the theater’s website and ticketing services, there’s NO 7:45 screening on Tuesday — I guess they’re doing a private event or sneak preview. Do you want to see the 10:45 screening, or another day?

          • Re: Wahh!
            Ok!
8pm at John’s Pizza for the 10:45 showing
looking forward to seeing you (and Beowulf) on Tuesday!

          • SEE YOU AT 7:00 AT…
The theater’s at 68th & Broadway. Here are some places in the neighborhood that aren’t too expensive (a rarity in the Lincoln Center area). You can check out the menus and customer reviews at the linked URLs:
