i just bought a plane ticket.
i’m flying to SF on the 20th…
one way ticket to be with my friend Leo til he’s better or not any more.
i’ve managed to not fly anywhere or leave my bed for longer than one night
for a year
well, i got back from Ireland last year on the 12th, then went up to Lake
George for a few nights (by car) and returned on the 19th
so i get 366 days of HOME
and then..
well
are my wandering days over?
“does it mean that i’m getting boring? you tell me.”
all sorts of excitement and apprehension
but
Away We Go.

So sorry to hear the reason for your travel. I hope your time with Leo is good. Safe journey.

Dominic: boring! That would be the day! You’d have a very long way to go to get there, my friend! 🙂 May your visit with your friend be healing! Namaste!

hmmm. somehow the “you having become boring scenario” seems highly unlikely.
i’m sure you have many many pals here already, but keep me in mind as another possibility for distraction if distraction is needed some morning, afternoon, or evening. i love cooking for pals, and i also give a good walking tour (though more walking than information).
i’m sure leo will be very happy to have you bedside. you’re an upstanding friend to do that. have a safe flight. perhaps we’ll see each other. take good care dominic.

Thanks DL, i’m sure i’d enjoy walking around with you. walking is one of my favourite activities.
and eating, shucks, i like eating, that’d be good.
thanks you thank you
i hope to see you then.

I hope to see you on your visit. What’s the matter with Leo?

i’d love to see you when i visit!
i’m not yet sure where i’m staying
i usually stay with David down the street from you, but haven’t even spoken with him
Leo has cancer.
he never sees doctors… or, hadn’t.
he’s probably had cancer 8 years or more
he’s rife with it now and they’ve given him 3 months to live
… unless this chemo works, but it’s some very rare type of cancer (hormonal/glandular)
so we should know by the end of October if the chemo is going to help at all.
then we’ll know if i should stay with him a month or so til he gets feeling better
or two or three months til he leaves his body.
Zo….

I”m so sad to hear about this. I met Leo just after my move to S.F. Give him hugs from me. I’d love to visit if he’s up to it
Just to let you know, you’re welcome here anytime.
