  • pack your bags

when I was 5, we lived in a small city. My mother was trying to get me to each liver or so such, I told her I had rather run away, I was crying, she was laughing. She grabbed 2 pair of pants, 2 pair of briefs and 2 t-shirts, wrapped then in a large red kerchief and tied them to a stick and told me to leave. I hung the stick over my shoulder like the hobos in cartoons and walked out the door, still crying. After a several minutes, my mother started wondering where I was, she had thought that I would be back by then, having learn my lesson. When she found me, I was almost 2 miles from home, heading out of town. She never did that again.
