i looked on craigslist to see if i could get a ride from detroit or ann arbor to Grand Rapids so i could leave with them in the morning
no offers
but a guy going to phoenix the next day
i called him
and he’d left already

my friends said they’d pick me up in the morning…
and now i’ve been driving all day
and just stopped
in a motel 8
