” i would like to change back now
to the shadow of…
the shadow of my former self:
it follows me around! ”
i forgot to mention
yesterday
i bought some salvia divinorum from the head shop on the walk back to the hauptbahnhof
it’s not a strange extract
it’s just leaves
which makes me feel better
i’ve never bought the stuff before
though i’ve heard a lot about it
and i know it can be used
if you have a request
well
i’ve got a request
and i think i’m going to go to the Teirgarden to ask for it.
right now
i’m sitting on a bus.
listening to old radiohead songs
thinking about “meeting people is easy”
thinking about old friends
(thinking about you)
i’m staying with Rolf
in the old eastern area
but the northern part
near the Mitte
not Kreuzberg
as we all know so well..
and what will happen?
a few days in berlin
an afternoon with mamma
“did you lie to us papa?
we thought you were different…
now you know
we’re not so sure…”
—————————————————-
so i’ve been sitting in an internet cafe for two and a half hours
i made a lot of my hidden enteries (coz i’ve been making notes, but didn’t want to screw up the calendar) Public
i added a few more photos from greece
and almost all the entries i have up my sleeve
i haven’t written much for england
except thoughts and feelings
i’ll post those later
with a bit of story
and Pictures…
but for those who enjoy exploring
there’s a bunch more now.

Re: no fronts
yeah, it’s difficult
because so much of the world Emulates Americana
— very hard to get Away from it
Mongolia worked for me.
going anywhere in europe (or close)
you will get Americana
but you will also get whatever that culture is
and how they blend
in lucky cases
you will get MORE of the other culture
but it’s always sand in the eye when you see the McDonald’s.
moving.
wind in the hair..
”
a little bit of wind cleans the eyes
huuuuuuuuuu
”
it’s as easy as going, really
check out
Hospitalityclub.org
i’ve not used it
but keep encountering it
remember: you don’t need money to travel
life pays life
however
you’ll need to sublet your place if you want it to be there when you get back
(grin)
shake and dance, baby
move on out
meanwhile
enjoy my photos.

Good to see you posting again…

i’ve been posting
just rarely
and always in the past
… i’m in the present now..
(mercury’s in retrograde)
fotornalez_drif
did you experience the world cup fever?
i want to be faraway from america right now
anywhere
dominicvine in reply to fotornalez_drif
chalice?
i’ve been caught in a few crowds as i’ve wandered around europe
but i’ve never been able to actually get interested in spectator sports
… do you mean
far awa from
America?
there is wonder and beauty there
but you might be stuck in Brooklyn
i would recommend Tennessee
or
get a jet blue flight to a caribbian island..
OR
go down to the docks
and convince someone to let you stow away on a storage vessel
even
go up to canada!
Nova Scotia is a fucking great end-of-the-world place
boring and beautiful
i’ve not been to newfoundland
but i’m sure it’s remoteness is equally satisfying
more interesting to discuss
what do you want to get away from?
and what do you want to find?
fotornalez_drif in reply to dominicvine
no fronts
yeah i need to go. i just wanna get away from americana for a bit. i just want to be in a completely new and exotic place for me. i want to go about exploring. i’m bored with my surroundings and a bit frustrated. i need a city with a beach and exotic smells and peoples. plus, i always make friends on the road than i do here in this arm-pit in california.
i’m thinking of being rediculous and going to morocco. i love that idea. thanks for caring. oh, cuba wouldbe good too, but i’m unsure of that whole process.

You remind me that I have a bunch of england posting to get done as well -what I’ve written was pretty skeletal, and didn’t include all of the intense emotional stuff. Does Berlin suit you? I would think the Germans would make you happy for a while and then drive you crazy.
But what do I know?
dominicvine in reply to naylandblake
skeletal
you’ve been writing a lot though!
and HEY!
you don’t write about intensely emotional stuff
that’s what makes you a Visual Artist!
(not that i’m trying to let you off the hook, if you want to write about it, i’d be interested in reading it)
i don’t know why
the germans have always made me happy
rather
the product of the germans:
their country
the same with switzerland..
the people?
i find them beautiful to look at
and interesting, sure
but it’s not so much about the people for me
it’s just about the way they do things
(does that make sense?)
the germans haven’t made me crazy yet
(not like the british)
